Slamming MLM

Home Business, Network Marketing No Comments »

Have you ever heard this statement?  “I tried everything in a home business.   I tried MLM and those pyramid schemes and went broke.  And then I found….”  I find it amazing first of all that people who fail at something or do not do well cannot own their own failure instead have to blame it on someone or something else.

First off let me say that whenever someone has to put down another business or industry to make them self look good BEWARE!  We see this type of advertising all the time.  Auto makers do it, dish washing liquids and laundry detergents do it, and the list goes on.  If an individual has to put down their competition I encourage you to look deep at both the business and the person promoting it.

The solution to their failure is the new fangled business that anyone can do regardless of computer skills.  This same low skilled individual can make anywhere from a $100 – $300 dollars a day. Have you heard that one or something like it?  It gets better; there is always someone who has done it.  The truth is there is always someone in every business and industry that has done it or been successful.  The only question I have is if it does not require a skill set to be successful, then why are more people not doing it?

Another hook is many of these work from home businesses reach out to the unemployed or those who are being affected by this economic downturn.  That is all fine and good.  Many of these businesses have you fill out an online form to acquire more information only to go to the next screen and ask for a credit card number to order some information packet or course for $39.99, or $69.99 or some amount along those lines.  My question is if I am being affected by the economy what makes anyone think I am going to eagerly reach in my pocket and pull out my bank card and spend money on something with such claims as “make $300 per day”, “anyone can do it”, or “anyone can do it regardless of computer skills”?

Maybe this post is more of a rant.  But I feel that the MLM industry is a viable and lucrative industry that is upfront and honest.  I will be the first to admit that there are crooks in every industry.  And many of those businesses making such claims as I have mentioned might be great businesses but are being undermined by shady characters lambasting other businesses or industries.  It is not necessary to minimize or degrade another industry to get ahead.

With all the online opportunities out there we need to band together as professionals and make the internet a place people really take a long hard look at.  When they look they see integrity and honesty not the newest and latest scam.  If we (and when I say we I mean everyone doing business on the Internet from home) want to reach the masses we have to do it ethically and with integrity.  Let’s build one another up and not tear each other down.

It is Only Ten Bucks…

Home Business, Network Marketing No Comments »

Ten dollars today could be a lot of money to some and maybe not so much to someone else.  Think about it though, ten dollars today does not buy what it bought just a few short years ago.  You can go to lunch and buy a meal, you can give it to a person who is in need, you can put it in a birthday card, or you can stick it away and save it.  The point is there is not a lot you can do with “just ten dollars.”

Except! There is one thing you could do and that is invest just $10 per month in your own business.  I know that sounds crazy doesn’t it?  You can’t invest $10 a month in a business and make money can you?  I am here to share an idea with you that is really powerful.  You can invest just ten dollars a month and make literally thousands.  While nothing in life is a guarantee, you can put the odds in your favor.

Your own home business is where you will find security.  People are losing their jobs every day.  They say the recession is over but it may take years for us to realize it financially.  In my opinion the recession is not over.  Ten dollars today can not only help you but could help literally thousands of people get ahead.

I am excited about this opportunity.  If you would like to know a little bit more about how investing just Ten Dollars a month can make a difference click here. I think you will be glad you did.

Increase The Rate of Success With The Right Business

In the world of Network Marketing 90% of the people who get involved will not make it.  Most people will get in with the idea and dream of success only to give up after a time and leave this industry defeated.  There are a number of reasons for this which can be overcome relatively easy.

One of the main reasons an individual does not get involved is the monthly expense is too high.  On the average it costs $150-$180 to get be involved in a reputable network marketing company.  The thing to remember is the higher the monthly financial commitment the greater the compensations plan and the fewer people needed in any given business group.  The advantage to a lower startup cost and monthly financial commitment is it is more appealing and more people can participate and not feel the financially burdened.  There is however one major drawback and that is it does take a greater number of people in any given business group to make a large profit.  This drawback is over come by the low investment and monthly financial obligation.  While this could be seen as a disadvantage it should also be seen as an advantage from the stand point that more people would be discouraged from the high monthly cost.  In times such as these where the economy is sagging with no indication when things are going to get better it this is definitely an advantage to have a great mass appeal and a low financial out lay.

Another drawback to Network Marketing is that much of the time it is not set up for the consumer.  Rarely do you find someone who is just using a product.  For this individual the price is often inhibitive.  Many times the consumer will go out and find a product that is not always as good a quality but close for much less.  While Network Marketing is one of the most powerful marketing models around it often leaves the individual who does not get the concept of Network Marketing or who has no desire to build a business but just wants to use the product out in the cold.  This is where a business that is easy to build and again, low financial obligation, is ideal.  A person can stay in a longer amount of time getting their business of the ground and not experience a huge financial burden.

You may be wondering what type of business fits this criteria?  There is one business that anyone from very young to senior citizen can build.  The product is something that anyone can use.  The financial outlay is nominal.  It is free to get started and only cost $10 per month.  It is a business that can reach those who will get in network marketing business and would typically become discouraged.  If you are curious why not take a look.  Looking costs nothing.  Click here and see what I mean when I say easy and affordable.

14 Million Unemployed Presents Opportunity

14 Million Unemployed Presents Opportunity

The latest report is there are 14,000,000 that is 14 million people who are unemployed currently in the United States.  Since the stimulus package was introduced 3 million people have lost their jobs.  This increase in unemployment is due primarily to the down turn in the economy and the current recession we are now in.

Looking at the problem with no idea of when things will turn around and get better is cause for depression.  The news reports that we are out of the recession.  But we look around and people are still losing their jobs.  With this being the case it is hard to believe the recession is over.  Does anyone really know when better days will come?

Another question is “what can I do to change my situation?”  Here is one solution that can not only help your situation but many others as well.  The solution is simple, create economy by going into business for yourself.  How you might ask, through marketing and distributing a product.  Simple, right?  Well it is.  The old adage that it takes money to make money is still true because nothing comes without some cost.  While that is true and some things never change the key is finding the right Return on Investment (ROI) ratio.  The key is finding a quality product with mass appeal at a low cost with a high return. This is easier than you think for example this product… Click Here.

With so many people unemployed and looking for something to bring relief to their current financial situation a tremendous opportunity is presented.  The secret is positioning you in a place to address the greatest need in the seemingly dismal situation.  The need here is to help people with their employment situation.  The opportunity is presented and sharing with each one of these people the idea of being in business for themselves.

The greatest barrier to this idea is people say “I am not a salesperson” or “I don’t like selling.”  The answer to this is not selling but sharing with people an idea.  The product then needs to not only be low in cost with a high return but have the tools that do the selling for you and those you share the idea with.

A product and business that fits all of the mentioned criteria is available with out you having to look any further.  Why take a look and be the judge for yourself.  This idea is not a “Get Rich Quick” scheme, but a real business that is rich in opportunity, easy to share and the best part is that it can literally help not only you but thousands of others just like you.

Why Network Marketing Is A Good Business To Be In.

Have you thought about having your own business? That is the question of the day. Many people think about having their won business but do not get past “thinking about it” simply for a variety of reasons ranging from not having enough start up capital, not believing they can succeed, they might or will fail, not knowing what business they would start, and the idea that this not the best time to start a business because of the economy are only a few of the reasons people who think about a business of their own do not start one.

Would you believe it if I told you the answer to each of these concerns and any other concern one could think of regarding starting a home business is Network Marketing. If you have ever thought of starting a business you owe it to yourself to read the rest of this short article and ponder what I am about to point out. Depending on your level of knowledge of network marketing or your experience you may be saying “you’re kidding me right?” No actually I could not be more serious.

The most common questions I get are:

Q. Isn’t that something like a pyramid scheme?
A. No, it is nothing like a pyramid scheme. First off those pyramid schemes are illegal and not tolerated by the Federal Trade Commission which should be a comfort to you.

Q. Isn’t it true that the first people in a network marketing company are the ones who do the best and make all the money?
A. Getting in early is never a bad thing, however this is not a guarantee of success nor is it mean that one who gets involved at a much later date has any less of chance to be just as successful as one who got in early or near the start of a network marketing company. In fact for a network marketing company to be legit it must offer all individuals the opportunity to exceed their or pass their sponsor in income if they are truly working the business harder than the person or person’s above them. This is another aspect that makes network marketing legal. For example if I sponsor you into a business and you work at it harder than I do and build your business more than I do mine, your should be compensated more than I am.

Q. Aren’t home businesses expensive to start?
A. Most network marketing companies allow an individual to get started for under $100 and average less than $200 per month to maintain. Ask yourself this question. What business can you start for around $100 dollars and maintain for around $200 per month. The average business start up is around $100,000 or more and costs tens of thousands of dollars to maintain on a monthly basis when you take building rent, supplies, inventory, and advertising to name only a few overhead items. There is no guarantee that any business will be successful but there is no business that has the return on investment a successful network marketing business has.

Q. What should I look for in a network marketing company?
A. There is criteria one should always consider when deciding on a network marketing company.

1. A good network marketing company should be completely debt free and have money in the bank as well as being forth coming and transparent about its financial health. This is important if one want to get paid on a regular basis.
2. When one looks at compensation 60% or more of the income should be getting paid back to its distributors. If this amount is less one should be weary and cautious. Network marketers are the advertisers of a company and they should be paid well.
3. The company should have a strict quality control mechanism overseeing their product. They should also have a strong compliance department to ensure no one is jeopardizing the welfare of the rest of the company and other distributors.
4. The network marketing company should provide training tools and events one can involve them self in to be successful in their business. Theses events and tools should be low cost or free. The company should not be making large profits off of their sales and training tools, after all they are not in the sales and training tool business.
5. Be careful to not get sucked into trendy or fad companies. There is a new juice every week that makes some claim that is often never substantiated as being true.
6. A solid stable company should not be promising thousands of dollars in income in order to entice people into joining. The product needs to be there enticing aspect not false promises.
7. If you want to get involved in a company and do not know someone personally you should interview the person who signs you up. That person should have been actively involved the business for at the very least 6-12 months. When I say actively I mean they should be devoted to the business and product the company offers. This is important because you do not want your sponsor running of to chase the latest craze out there. You want someone who is as devoted and committed as you are.
8. Avoid the companies that are advertising making $10,000 per month or week. While this is entirely possible to do with you own network marketing company, it is not where people start out.
9. Avoid the company that tries to convince you that all you have to do is sign up and they will do the rest. In theory this type of compensation plan sounds good, but they seldom work. You cannot get something for nothing. It just does not work that way.
10. You want to be involved in a company that does not require you to buy inventory but instead just what you will use personally in one month. Ideally you do not want to have to stock inventory as a part of you month business volume in order to maintain your distributor status.
11. You want to be involved with a company that will pay you at least bi-weekly, preferably weekly.
12. The company you choose should have a compensation plan that is easy to understand and make money at.

Q. Why do so many people have difficult times with the concept of network marketing?
A. The reason is that many people have either been hurt by false claims of their sponsor. Also people are out there on the internet and in the papers saying the same things on how to make money fast and quit your job, people making false claims and not keeping their promise give network marketing a bad name.

I have done a number of businesses and there is only one I have found that lives up to everything and more that I have wrote about in this article. If you are serious about starting a home business then you owe it to yourself to watch the video.

One of the greatest reasons to have your own home business today is so that you do not have to participate in this recession or what ever they are calling it today, and to help others. A true networking company is one that unites people together to work as a team.

A Company You Can Feel Good About

Health and Wellbeing, Network Marketing No Comments »

I received and email from the quality and compliance office of the well known health and wellness company I am a distributor for.  I was informed that I was not in compliance on a variety of different issues.  While I did not agree with some of the interpretations of compliance, meaning I did not feel is was out of compliance in all the areas mentioned, I felt it was easier and safer to delete the posts in question.  This is a real bummer to say the least since my whole blog went away–almost.

On the other had though, I have to say I am passionate about the company I am associated with.  Having stringent and in my opinion overly zealous compliance guidelines, I have to say that I am at the same time delighted to be associated with a company that stands for quality and integrity and that is something I can whole heatedly embrace and support, even though it may be inconvenient.

There are a lot of companies out there making a lot of claims and with no oversight.  This is dangerous because false claims are made that jeopardize every one who is associated with the company in question.  Honestly this is dangerous, and I feel I can safety say that many of them will not be around to see the new year in because they will be shut down for a variety of reasons.  Again, I am able to say the company I am associated with is making every effort to see that everyone is safe and no one person’s actions are jeopardizing the entire organization.  For this I am thankful and therefore have no problem abiding by there judgment and changing or deleting material on the internet.

The theme of this blog is not going to change from Health, Wellness, and Happiness.  In fact, along those three lines of thought it is going to expand.  I am going to continue to focus on over all wellness and well being.  There are so many areas of well being with diet and nutrition being one of the core building blocks of which the company I am involved in provides the highest quality products and opportunities.

I am excited for this opportunity to share information in a different way, meaning that instead of trying to share it here in full I will get the opportunity to share in person with those who are genuinely interested in felling better, having more energy, losing weight, and exploring the possibilities of having a successful and lucrative home business.

Until next time here is to your Health and Wellness

I was a “No Sale” at Hello.

Network Marketing 1 Comment »

I got a phone call last night. It was long distance and I did not know who it was, as most of the time I don’t. When you are an internet marketer and you leave your phone number all over the Internet you get phone calls from all over the place. Sometimes the calls come from people trying to sell you something and sometimes it is someone who is really interested in more information about what you have.

Anyway, this lady calls and as it turns out she has called in the past trying to get me on a “call that has only one spot left that takes place in a half hour.” I did not have time two weeks ago and I did have time last night. As it turns out I gave her a half hour on the phone talking. This whole time she is giving me a lot of patchy information about a product she knew very little about. It got worse. She raved about some doctor I had never heard of nor did I really care anything about. Chances of me meeting him are slim to none, so why should I care anything about his patented concoction? I was a “no sale” at hello.

She did not help her chances any, not saying she had a chance, but if there was ever one she put a stake in the heart of it when she started putting my business down. Now I don’t care who you are, but rule number one is you never, never, never, put down someone’s businesses even if it is the most rotten business on the face of the earth.

My response to her was polite and I simply said, “I am not interested. You need to know something about me. I picked my business after a lot of research. Once I decided on my business I set out to interview uplines, you know, the people I would spend years with building my business with. To tell you the truth, if I had the worst product in the world I would not leave the people I am involved with.” She was speechless for a moment and then asked for clarity as if she did not hear me.

The truth is that we are not in business just for the money, we are in business to be around people we enjoy. To be perfectly honest, I could not imagine being in a network marketing business with people I did not adore and enjoy being around.

This lady might have had a fraction of a chance if she had taken a moment to learn about me instead of trying to slam some business opportunity down my throat. The lesson for me was the next time I talk to someone on the phone I am going to remember this phone call (I hope) and spend more time listening and learning.
